About the Project:

Works at Luton and Dunstable Hospital were delivered within a busy, fully operational hospital environment.

EAS were instructed to carry out the removal work prior to the demolition allowing a New Acute Services Block and New Ward Block to be constructed.

Licensed asbestos removal works consisted of the following:

Asbestos Insulation Board Panels & Ceiling Tiles
Asbestos Insulation to Pipework
Asbestos Insulation Residue to Walls, Plinths and Floor Ducts

Working within a duct presented its own risks that had to be planned correctly ensuring that access and egress could be carried out safely and quickly in the event of an emergency.
