Typical ACMs found on sites across the UK include cement products, asbestos insulation board fragments or asbestos insulation debris.
Contamination found on sites and within soils is largely due to the demolition of historic buildings which involved inadequate removal and waste management practices.
We work alongside clients to establish the most suitable solution for their site which may consist of excavation, mechanical screening or capping of contaminated soil. If possible, we will segregate ACMs from the affected soil to reduce the volume of waste being disposed of at landfill.
During any remediation process robust control measures are implemented to ensure works are completed to the highest standard.
