Lead paint was banned in Australia in 1906 and in the US in 1978, however continued to be manufactured and sold in the UK until 1992.
The lead content within paint presents a significant number of serious health risks if disturbed/released particularly in children and babies. As the paint deteriorates it mixes with other household dust and debris and can be easily breathed in leading to lead poisoning.
Lead paint can be found in large quantities on steelwork, brickwork, plastered walls and timber.
EAS offer a full testing/inspection service. If lead is confirmed to be present, we can then deliver a cost effective removal solution.
Using techniques based around our asbestos removal procedures, we provide a controlled, safe and clean solution for all lead paint issues.
